Fruit Shoot is a casual game for Android in which you need to shoot fruit from the heads of different characters with a bow and arrow.
If you miss the fruit and end up hitting one of the characters (bears, soldiers and dragons!) then things can get quite gruesome, as you watch their blood and innards get splattered everywhere. There is an option to turn off the blood in Fruit Shoot but even this doesn't get rid of all the gore, and the game isn't recommended for minors or those of a squeamish disposition.
The controls in Fruit Shoot are very simple. You hold your finger where you want shoot and drag it backwards to aim. A guide will show you the expected trajectory of the arrow. When you're lined up, just release your finger to launch the arrow.
The gameplay is both repetitive and unoriginal, and Fruit Shoot doesn't break any new ground. The only thing that distinguishes it a bit from other bow and arrow games is the versus mode, where you actually have to try and hit the opposing character, taking it in turns to launch arrows at each other. The versus mode in Fruit Shoot can be played against the phone or a friend.
Even with its bloody battle mode, Fruit Shoot is no more than an ordinary bow and arrow game for Android.
